In color: Butternut
You will quickly come to appreciate the true beauty of Western Maple. The grain is stunning and often darkly veined with fine brown lines that give an attractive growth ring figure to the planks. Maple is considered a "tonewood," or a wood that carries sound waves well: the back, sides and neck of most string musical instruments are made from maple. Besides the benefit of being a "tonewood," maples beautiful graining enhances the look of fine musical instruments, and that beauty certainly carries over into the look of our Western Maple. This species will create a theme of warm ambiance in any room.
